What is Coaching?

Coaching is a process of developing someone to their fullest potential.

The International Coaching Federations defines coaching as, “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” more>

Coaching works when these two factors are present:

  1. There is a gap between where you are now and where you want to be, and
  2. You are ready and willing to grow.

The coaching experience begins the moment you make a commitment to your first session.  It is normal to feel curious, excited, uncertain and perhaps tentative prior to the first session.  Based on studies done by the International Coaching Federation coaching clients have seen an improvement in their work performance, business management, time management, team effectiveness, self-confidence, communication skills, relationships, and Life/work balance. more>

All of my first coaching sessions are pro-bono which gives you the opportunity to experience a coaching session and decide if coaching is the next step for you!

Executive Coaching

Work one-on-one with Deb in-person, on-line or on the phone.  Coach one or two times a month for 30 or 45 minutes with emails in-between as needed to help you set and achieve the goals you feel God is calling you to.  Deb has been coaching since 2009, is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and is a coach for Coaching4Clergy and the Center for Progressive Renewal.

Coach Training

Whether it is learning the basics of coaching to use in your life, work or ministry settings or to begin to take the steps of becoming a certified coach, Deb is a certified Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and is qualified to teach the basic coaching skills as a class for your organization or you can sign up to take a coaching class from Deb or through Coaching4Clergy where Deb is on the Faculty.  Deb also teaches the Coaching Skills for Clergy graduate level course at Palmer Theological Seminary.

Group/Team Coaching

Deb works with church consistories, councils, committees, task forces, and ministries as well as non-profit boards to help set and achieve the goals of the group.  The number of Coaching Sessions and the method of how they are delivered are based on the tasks agreed to.  When working with churches and non-profits some one-on-one coaching is usual needed with the Pastor, Team/Ministry Leader or CEO.

Mentor Coaching

If you are preparing to become an Associate Certified Coach or a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation you are required to have 12 hours of mentor coaching.  Deb is a qualified mentor coach for both the International Coaching Federation and for Coaching4Clergy.
