The Rev. Dr. Deborah Winters is an ordained pastor in the United Church of Christ who served 24 years as a settled pastor and has served as a transitional (interim) pastor in the Pennsylvania area since 2009. She earned her Ph.D. in Religion at Temple University and is on the faculty of Palmer Seminary, the Seminary of Eastern University (www.palmerseminary.edu) where Coaching Skills for Clergy is among the courses she teaches.
Deborah earned her Professional Certified Coach status through the International Coaching Federation (www.coachfederation.org), joined the faculty at Coaching4Clergy (www.coaching4clergy.com) where she teaches, trains and coaches, and is also a coach for the Center for Progressive Renewal (www.progressiverenewal.org).
Deborah and her husband Gary started God’s Precious Children (www.GodsPreciousChildren.com), a 501(c)3 (non-profit organization) working in Liberia, West Africa giving young people in need a better chance for a brighter future through an education in the name of Jesus. God’s Precious Children helps build schools, provides teacher training workshops and helps raise tuition so students can afford to go to school.
She has co-authored the book, Who Killed Goliath? Reading the Bible with Heart and Mind, written on the Psalms in The Pastor’s Bible Study Vol. 3 A New Interpreter’s Bible Study and has written sermons and worship settings for the Minister’s Annual Manuel from 2008-2014.
